I'm looking forward to test it out. That's going to be a while yet unfortunately, it's still in the very early stages but rest assured once it's finished I'll be uploading the iso RE: HCLinux- A sneak preview - h3r0 - 08-31-2014 Also could we include git, wireshark, and maybe evan's debugger? RE: HCLinux- A sneak preview - Psycho_Coder - 09-01-2014 You're using Qt5 base but there are still lots prople who still use Qt4 and so including it would be beneficial. You missed SQLlite as far as I know many applications use sqllite. Then providing GEdit and GVim is recommended too. OK I'm on it boss  will install all of those first thing in the morning. Anything I'm missing for now? Will let you know as soon as I came to know about something which hasn't already been mentioned. I hope that you have install Perl ? http://perlbrew.pl/ and 'tr' program as well (I think it comes by default but still check) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tr_(Unix) RE: HCLinux- A sneak preview - chmod - 09-01-2014 (09-01-2014, 03:30 AM)Psycho_Coder Wrote:(09-01-2014, 01:50 AM)chmod Wrote:(09-01-2014, 01:31 AM)Psycho_Coder Wrote: You're using Qt5 base but there are still lots prople who still use Qt4 and so including it would be beneficial. Not sure if Perl is installed by default, some languages are and I would certainly include it if not. I'll check it as well as tr and make sure both make it to the final build RE: HCLinux- A sneak preview - Psycho_Coder - 09-01-2014 (09-01-2014, 07:38 AM)chmod Wrote:(09-01-2014, 03:30 AM)Psycho_Coder Wrote:(09-01-2014, 01:50 AM)chmod Wrote:(09-01-2014, 01:31 AM)Psycho_Coder Wrote: You're using Qt5 base but there are still lots prople who still use Qt4 and so including it would be beneficial. Perl is not installed by default and neither is Ruby (You might consider installing this as well, since some pentesting tools have been written in Ruby too). But 'tr' is most cases comes with the debian package. Since 'tr' is a part of GNU CoreUtils. Others should be IPython QT Shell. I don't see any reason to install other JRE versions than the most recent one, unless you are developing Java applications. The JRE is always backwards compatible. @chmod great project. :Thumbs-Up: |
