RE: watch_dogs. I want this game! - Isaac - 06-03-2014 It's not that good. I have it on Xbox One and I can assure you that it has the same Graphics and Physics as previous games on the Xbox 360. The Driving Physics is similar to GTA IV and the storyline is complete bull. It's the same old revenge story we've all seen in games over the past decade. As for in-game hacking, It's nothing new. If anyone recalls, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, which came out like 8 years ago, also used this Idea for hacking into Computers, Security cameras, Keypad locks, reading someone's emails etc.. It's sequel, Splinter Cell Double Agent, also included hacking mini games such as the ones in Watch Dogs. TBH, the hacking mini games become stale and repetitive VERY quick. The storyline, apart from being generic, makes no sense at all. Basically this guy is a vigilanti who kills and robs people for his own gain? Sounds about right. This game doesn't reward stealth enough, you don't even need to sneak in this game, you can basically just shoot your way through most of the game. It's an ok and fun game to pass the time for a while, but I wouldn't call it anything Innovative or great. It's Ubisoft's mediocre attempt at making a GTA style game with some aspects from Assassin's creed and Ghost Recon. The result in my opinion isn't anything too special. RE: watch_dogs. That's because you're not playing it on PC, PC = MasterRace. :troll: RE: watch_dogs. Even if it wasn't, I can only wish to have a computer powerful enough to run the game. RE: watch_dogs. I'm just hoping there's something good coming from E3, Probably not since almost all the trailers are lies. Especially from Ubisoft lying fucks. Haven't really enjoyed any new Triple A games in a while, Only Indie games. RE: watch_dogs. Yes I've seen reviews from people with insane PC's struggling to get 60fps even on relatively low settings, it's certainly lacking optimisation, kinda like the PC was an after thought and 2 weeks before launch someone noticed they hadn't started it yet! I agree though I'm a huge fan of indie games myself and think they put a lot more effort into coming up with new and interesting ideas. @bluedog.tar.gz how does it run on your PC? You have a pretty decent system. RE: watch_dogs. I saw a really nice quote a few days back that said: "If I buy a Game for 60$ it should feel like I'm playing a 200$ game" or something along those lines. And I really have to agree with him. Often these triple A games do like 70% of what they promised and get away with it because of all the pumped up little kids that hype so much about a game they become delusional. There's nothing wrong with getting hyped for a game but please always watch out for that. Most of the time the trailers are so fake they use freaking pre-renderd stuff instead of actually ingame time. I really liked what The Forest(Indie game) Did with their trailers. Everything you saw in the trailers is possible in their alpha release, nothing is fake, everything is ingame. That's one of the few games I'm really pumped for once they implement multiplayer. Lastly the thing I really like about about indie developers is most of them offer Linux support very early on, there's no need to bug them about it no messing around with wine, just install the binary and play. (not something Endnight has done in this case though sadly) RE: watch_dogs. It's funny, because the only games I'm looking forward to this year are all from Ubisoft (Far Cry 4 and Tom Clancy's The Division etc..) They've already ruined the Splinter Cell and Assassin's Creed series, I'm just hoping that the Far Cry series will remain enjoyable for at least the next half a decade. RE: watch_dogs. RE: watch_dogs. I want this game! - bluedog.tar.gz - 06-03-2014 @chmod Running on ultra/high. Aiming for the 60 FPS. TotalBiscuit (A youtuber) has dual titans and isn't even able to max it out and get stable FPS. Pretty badly optimized :/ |
