I would say it's most likely a mac filtering issue but without knowing the output of Ligeti's post along with any error messages you receive it will be very difficult to pinpoint the issue

Routers do have option like MAC-Filtering which allow a system to connect to a network(Internet won't work but you will connect) if it's MAC is listed. See if you have this enabled, Disabling it might help if it's has been setup

* No MAC filtering
* Same problem on ethernet and wireless
* Reconnect with network manager doesn't change anything
* If I change the MAC address before connecting, it works
* It works fine using my phone as wifi tether and reconnecting with network manager after changing the MAC address
* I can ping the gateway

At this point I'm starting to think it could be a bug, possibly not within macchanger but possibly network manager after doing a little research I found an article describing this issue and the solution appears to be to append "restart network-manager" to the end of the script/alias so you could try that and see if it makes any difference

Hello, I tried restarting network-manager and it worked. I uploaded the new code with an option to stop and start network-manager in the menu
