Errh i would said that it is a good idea to learn C first because languages like C++ and java are based on C which means you will be able to learn them more easily.

I am a php programmer, knows javascript html and do only web development
I make around 2500$ - 3000$ a month
I think c and c++ are good but you can earn with then until unless you learn embedded systems
Java is good but still my Vote is towards php

PS: only learning the syntax of language can't earn you much, until you have good programming skills

PHP & MySql, with MVC concepts.

Java, actually not just Java but J2EE enterprice edition with good knowledge of MVC and JSF (Java Server Faces), JavaBeans.
Knowledge of the above can get you good jobs and a high monthly income.

For Web Development SQL and DBMS concepts are important.

Note that Knowledge of SQL is not enough. Knowledge of DBMS is most important.
Now SQL != DBMS <---- Here's the catch

DBMS are techniques with which you can design the database. SQL is the language used to implement DBMS concepts.
