I have tried it on a friend's PC and yeah, it booted pretty slowly and i personally don't like the design. Also, i've read that new computers with Windows 8 pre-installed will be like no good thing, because it will be hard to install any other OS, even older versions of Windows.

I don't know why others are Saying No , as far as i know most of other are using Linux , mac , XP ,7 .
| if any one using Win 8 from above commenter please let me know why are you saying so ? , or if you are not using 8 do not give false advice to questions .
i have been with several OS , and in the Windows section 8 is much better one more than Win other version ,
Fast booting , Some Security Fixing , and Of course much important thing is speed is better

i too think people who are saying 8 is not good hasn't use it (i too didnt used it till now) yes,its interface is not good for pc but you can still get rid of it by simply installing pokki (free) which will give you old style start menu.
the thing which is going on here is called the major side (yes,i made that up) the situation where majority of people talk against a stuff and you join them without any good reason just because majority of people are involved.
