RE: Testing out Windows 10 Preview! - roger_smith - 10-02-2014 Yea I saw that they were finally doing multi desktop, and I was like "lol microsoft, better late then nevar :p" RE: Testing out Windows 10 Preview! - Fury - 10-02-2014 So far, so good! Looks super promising!! RE: Testing out Windows 10 Preview! - Skullmeat - 10-02-2014 Fullscreen apps are no longer fullscreen, as they were in windows 8. They have titlebar, and can be resized, just like any other window. ![]() ![]() Another thing of note is the way items are pinned to the start menu. When pinned, they can either be put into a live tile, or the more traditional format, as an item above "All apps." This is a sort of hybrid system for touch displays, or traditional desktops. ![]() Also interesting, is the new Command Line features. There is now an "Experimental" tab, with options such as CTRL+V and transparency. Very pleasing to power users, such as myself. ![]()
RE: Testing out Windows 10 Preview! - roger_smith - 10-02-2014 they really seem to be taking some inspiration from Linux. I'm totally ok with that honestly. I hope they actually give this out fo' free to Win 8 users like has been rumored. Basically taking the best of Windows 7 and fancy Linux WMs/DEs. RE: Testing out Windows 10 Preview! - Shebang - 10-02-2014 The scrollbars in the cmd window are a little annoying.. I don't think they need to be visible all the time. Otherwise, Windows 10 (really seems to be Windows 8.2) seems good so far! I can't complain there. It's about time Windows added in some of the better ideas from linux. (10-02-2014, 05:29 AM)Shebang Wrote: The scrollbars in the cmd window are a little annoying.. Plus its lacking in features. Thats why I use ConEmu.
RE: Testing out Windows 10 Preview! - Oni - 10-02-2014 Looks better, at the least. Not sure if it will be good. As much as I bag on MS, it would be nice if they turned out a decent OS again. RE: Testing out Windows 10 Preview! - Alex - 10-02-2014 The start screen still looks retarded. |
