this is correct. however, as another user stated, it is a hit or miss. I've had a lot of success using MEB for apple watches, but some failed for no reason. I have yet to try iPhones but I have seen success with a few friends who contacted apple stating that they found the screen shattered upon opening the box.
Could you please describe how to perform MEB? I've never tried that method before

I think that MEB is Manufacture-Empty box where the item was missing when you opened the box and you exclusively mention that the box was not tampered with in any way.

This didn't work for my first apple SE so I don't think it's accurate. My account was aged as well, no prior refunds.

Replying here cuz I couldn't reply to your dm. The airpod max I se'd failed literally instantly. It's a hit or a miss as you can see.

I've tried only Apple directly. Maybe Amazon would work.

MEB failed even though it was my first time hitting apple.

Do you guys think it’s ok to use the phone for few weeks and return it?

Ive read iphone are getting harder to ref on apple with meb, ive successfully sed like 4 or 5 times (all apple watches from 7 to 9) directly from them no problem so far

Sure, since they assumed you received your phone, there's nothing to worry about.

Make sure not to exceed the return window.
