Any company you like - even those with CCTV cameras In place.

Unless the box Is opened and checked at the time of packing (which I've yet to come across from a technological perspective), It's not possible to conclude the CPU was In the box at the time of dispatch. Nor when It's In transit and when delivered to Its destination.

The only exception Is Amazon Warehouse Deals. Goods go through a rigorous 20-point Inspection prior to sale.

Oh so you mean the actually CPU box is empty? Not just the Amazon box?

Is it because the weight is so little it won’t flag up? Will this also work with CPUs that also come with a fan?

Appreciated.

Correct, intel CPUs will come in under 50g actually.

Quote:Yes, I was thinking about to buy the Ryzen 9 7950x3d, probably the i9 13900k would be better option? Since it's not visible externally?
the specific i9 you mentioned can indeed be SB'd but NOT through Ama as they check sealed returns. Find another retailer if you are going to SB. If you research correctly you could possibly SB the GPU too maybe that model you mentioned or maybe another.

Thanks for the info bro!
My inital idea was to EB Ryzen 9, but since it's externally visible, I have decide to purchase the I9 instead, I will use amazon for EB, as i have two Amazon business accounts with a history of many orders. As for the GPU, the challenge will be finding a product from the same category witht he same dimensions and weight as the GPU

Excellent.

There's no way to conclude the CPU was In the box when picked, packed and dispatched, hence It's perfect to EB It.

Thank you so much for the help!

As for the GPU, the challenge will be finding a product from the category as the GPU with the same dimesions and weight. I was just wondering if the category of the GPU would full under "Computers & Accessories" ? Also, if it's not asking to much aha, could you recommend an item to use in this method? (WIR) I was thinking of a PSU, but they typically weigh around 1.5kg, whereas the GPU weighs around 2.5kg, I did find 1 PSU that weigh the same as the gpu, but I am not sure if that weight is accurate

Thanks in advance Biggrin

Or like i said before you could try and find a GPU that you can easily SB with another retailer. If you are going to EB Ama be prepared to submit a PR. Personally I would not risk my business account for this. The amount you could potentially make on Ama as a seller is exponentially higher than what you will net for this SE.

What do you think price limit is for this? 3 year old account no purchase history

I am not familiar with the sealed box method, but I understand the concept, I just need to send the item back in the same condition that is was sent to me, and ofc, without the item inside. However, I am not sure which big retailers in Europe allow for this type of method. If they check the box and find any issues, I may not be able to return it anymore. My plan for amazon, is to order the CPU using EB option, purchase the rest of the pc parts without any refund and purchase the GPU using the "wrong item received", I will use two different amazon business accounts, I have a lot of orders on both accounts. If you know any retailers in Europe that I can try to do that, like dna, or even the SB, let me know Biggrin

One more thing, if I try to perform the SB method, I need to fill the box while returning with something? To match the real weight?

I eneded up finding two electronic websites from europe: Saturn.de and kaufland.de. However, I am unsure about which method to used with them, and whether they are easy to SE or not since I never used any of them.

For the SB method search the forum and ask around about which stores check sealed returns. I can confirm that Amazon, Apple and Argos all check but it is up to you to find out if the specific retailers you want to hit check as well, its unlikely. You will definitely have to match the weight and if you go ahead with the SB and they do check and ask you to return it you can just make up some excuse and send them the GPU back and receive a full refund. Mothered's blog provides a ready made excuse for you regarding this.

Can we use other methods like EB on Argos then?
