I understand your viewpoint with the lady's position, but that's only a single Incident over one phone call.

Social engineering Is all about pushing beyond limits. If need be, generate calls all week until you receive the appropriate attention.
So, even though the UPS claim has been filed, I'm still harassing them?

No, my post Is based on what should've been done when you were dealing with the company.

Hello mothered, I just received a call from a number. It was the UPS driver. He called me upset and said that he has been in this business for 9 years, knows the neighborhood very well, knows my neighbors, and remembers exactly who he delivered to (he gave me a dubious description, saying that I had beige pants (when I had blue pants) and long blond hair (when I have short blond hair). Despite these details, he was quite angry, saying that he had delivered the package and that it had already happened to him. At first, I got scared and didn't say anything. I then called him back and explained the situation more calmly. He asked me if I was available to come over right away, I answered negatively. He said he would come by during the week, maybe with his boss too, to check. I stuck to my story, that I had not received anything, and that I did not want to hurt him. So I left him saying that I was going to do my own little investigation to see if a cousin had taken him from me. He said that he did not have it signed, but that he remembered having dropped it off and having seen someone leave my house, knowing that he knew my neighbors (not personally) and that unfortunately, he did not have any photographic proof of the package. What do I do? I don't want my home to be impacted, nor my parents, and I don't want to end up with a driver trying to kill me. Do I call him back and give up this SE? Or do I confront the date with him and risk him recognizing me and wanting to press charges? I don't know what to do anymore....

A friend recently had luck just sending them back an empty box through a regular return. They had to ping them after the order was delivered and the refund was processed. Your Mileage May Vary

@mothered Yes I know, having read other topics, let it go and ignore it. But, I really don't want to have a window broken or a bike stolen for a pair of shoes, even though I know I could go and file a complaint behind, all this for a pair is not rational and I know it could be possible. Can I call UPS and say that a driver called me to come to my house, when he has no right to do so? I really, really don't want to deal with him. Or maybe I can say something like I'm on vacation and you'll only find my family, or even that I put this address because I was on vacation with family at the time, and now I'm on the other side of the country. .... ? If not, isn't there an ultimate method to get the refund? It's been two weeks now, so I'm not entitled to a return.

Yes, "chance", but if I tell paypal that it was a purchase made by a little boy, that the paypal was registered on the pc, and that it was unwanted or behind my back, are they likely to refund me? I am also ready to apply a method like LIT or FTID but I am a complete novice and I know nothing about it. Also, it's only been two weeks, I don't know if I have the right to return....

Ok I just read this on the UPS website : "UPS may deliver a shipment to the consignee named on the Bill of Lading or to any other person appearing to have authority to accept delivery of the shipment on behalf of the consignee (such as a person on the same premises as the consignee or a neighbor of the consignee". I'm very afraid that the delivery man will come and call the neighbors. I have absolutely no desire to cause harm to the neighbor, nor to involve their responsibilities knowing that they already know what I do. I stop everything and I keep the pair, I would do it again at another time, or I try a technique like sending back an empty box. Chargeback with paypal is an option for me, anyone know what i do ? (I have just looked and I can still make a return, what do you advise me)

I called ups and the delivery man and withdrew the claim. I absolutely want this refund, but I'm really lazy to carry out methods like the box, which requires a purchase of too much dry ice at home for example... I did this in order to prevent the SE from affects others...

You're not obligated to answer the driver's questions and concerns.

Tell the company that given they're handling your claim, all communications must take place with them, and not the carrier. It's the company's responsibility to address Issues with the carrier, not yours.

It's that simple.

too late, I solved the claim with ups and the delivery man, this will serve as a lesson for a future SE. However, I still want a refund, so what are my last options left?

Simply say that during the claim's assessment, you urgently needed the Item and couldn't wait for a decision, hence you've purchased It and would now like a refund.

Mmh, I wore the pair, I'm afraid it's no longer refundable... But I didn't understand your method, saying I bought the pair while evaluating my application, but on their system there is only one purchase, not two. How can this work?
