Will this lower my chances of success with DNA?As long as the transaction Is demonstrated on your Apple account, then that's all that matters. Thanks for the quick response mate, your blog and willingness to help the community is legendary. I guess to play it safe , while in the process of the DNA claim one could refrain from linking the “missing” MBP to one’s personal Apple ID. Do you think this would be okay or would that fuck up the SE attempt? Assuming all goes well and the claim is closed, I suppose at that point it’d then be ok to link to your own Apple ID. Is there any other method you would recommend specifically for SEing a MBP directly from Apple? (I now know it’s easier via Amazon but wasn’t planning on SEing until it was too late :/) Thank you @mothered

Once the funds have cleared Into your account and given the claim Is well and truly finalized without any further Intervention whatsoever, It's safe to say you can use the device as you please. Nothing Is 100% guaranteed, but the likelihood of the company digging up previous records when there's no reason to, Is extremely slim. Alternatively, the wrong Item received tends to work well. (02-09-2023, 03:02 AM)Jojomojo Wrote: Thank youYou're welcome. WIR does seem like it could be fruitful but the only issue I see (admittedly bc I shot myself in the foot) is that I can’t just throw any old laptop in there because I ordered directly from Apple. there’s nothing that’s cheap enough and weighs enough that Apple sells directly that would make sense to replace with the SEd MBP.. I suppose I could save a few hundred by getting the cheapest refurbished mbp they sell and it’d be better than nothing … but my greed/laziness just wants the whole thing refunded lol. So the way I see it my options are: 1. Proceed with DNA and hope my aged account gives me the benefit of the doubt and the investigation is quick and easy. Or 2. Buy the cheapest refurbished apple laptop I can find of comparable weight for WIR to recover some of what I spent. Does this seem correct to you? Any thoughts or advice? @mothered RE: Apple SE Success / Double Dip Help Plz - EquitableEngineer - 02-09-2023 (02-09-2023, 03:34 AM)Jojomojo Wrote: 2.
