RE: Amazon TBA - peakyfblinder - 06-30-2022 Had only US reports up until now - I believe CA is going to follow up in near future. Canceling an item is fully within a customers right - they cant suspect fraud if the item doesn't deliver anymore. The German amazon takes about 30 days to refund on ftid according to others and there are cases where after the said timeframe they simply ban the account. I also saw someone here yesterday with the same problem. Looks like they upped their fraud prevention. The UPS method is still hitting though - tracking shows what it shows and even carrier rep's go by what the tracking says. To my knowledge, only such customer service exists at Amazon where you can cancel an item after it has been shipped. l am fairly new but it seems to me that people have been accustomed to how lenient they are in general. I'm sure it would be laughable to request other companies to cancel your order while it's in transit and you would have to end up refusing delivery or returning the item. A question regarding the aftermath, is there a chance of users being billed after it is noticed that the cancelled item was in fact delivered? Wouldn't this render an account useless as payment methods would then have to be disconnected? RE: Amazon TBA - BetterThings2 - 06-30-2022 Just my 2 cents on my experience using this method (first time using it) I ordered an Item then cancelled it in transit, and got the customer refused order message. I contacted support and mentioned I didnt cancel it, the rep had a replacement sent out (my original package never made it to me) Finally a few hours after I recieved my replacement I get an email stating that because the orginal package got sent back that I will be getting a refund. So it seems like if you can get them to initiate a replacement the same day you should be able to get the replacement product as well as the refund for the og package not making it. Sorry for the long post just thought I share my experience, would love to know what you all think. RE: Amazon TBA - freedomfighter - 07-04-2022 Tried it today. Not working. The rep didn't agree replacement. Maybe because my lack of se skills. Cancelled order means cancelled delivery At least in my city. Has anyone tried this with larger items? I think success might be based on weight but that's just a guess. I wana try it with a big item but I can't afford to pay for the item if the SE fails. Never SE an item you can't afford if it doesn't go well - cases like that make sure whatever you do is within the return time frame. The UPS method are RTS scans. You pay a boxer who has the connection to that to modify your tracking while its in transit. As for larger items, depends on method and store.
