Ohh okay I see RE: PS5 SE - LawDogUSA - 05-24-2022 Ok, you need to always stick to your plan. If it's "missing" then get a new one and if they brick the old one, sell it on some place or buy a real one and return the bricked one. Then flip the real one around for the money. A lot to do, but just part of the SE. I think this way, or some form of it was stated above. You want to stick to your story so you don't get flagged or your address or what not. Don't let them push you around or demand things,, stay with your plan and what happened. Just to clarify, the method I went with was claiming everything but the console arrived, and then returning everything but the console (controller, remote). I had something like this happen, it was long, but worth mentioning: This actually happened, FedEx was supposed to get my signature too, the main box was left at a communial front door, and that box had been opened about 70%, along with another box inside that, PS5 gone and a few other things, extra controllers, games. Who signed for it? A printed Name of MikeD, which isn't me or anyone around me. I took a picture of it sitting outside open, where it was, contacted the seller, a private seller through Walmart, that seller still sent me a return label and some insurance form, these for the PS5. I had notified Walmart, and FedEx, both a joke! When the seller sent me the the return label and insurance form, I contacted the seller again and, got them to admit that it's part of their protocol to see if you are going to stick to your method and screw up your story. I had started the conversation pissed, because they are wasting my time when my PS5, is now missing, and I can't even notify authorities because I don't even know what happened. I wanted my refund, and they wanted to send me another way overpriced one, because they make lots on the over price (she told me they get the insurance money too), and no I don't want another one, unless its retail price now, and i told them I have a retail price one coming already from another company, I needed that refund immediately to pay for my other one coming, I wasn't mailing and empty box back, they are wasting my time, and that's when she said that it was an attempt to see if I lied about the open box or if my story would change, I told them they play to many games, I don't have time, and she refunded my money right there and wanted me to get them their insurance form when I could, I could fill out the insurance form online too. They had sent me a label to return the PS5 only, but it wasn't in the main box and it was boxed inside the main box. She tried to trick me. That make sense....a big box is supposed to arrive sealed, inside that are more sealed boxes, one would be a sealed box with a PS5 inside that, in the sale carton, more smaller boxes were inside the main sealed box. The only thing left was a controller but it was the wrong color ( no it wasn't), an Walmart provided an email for this issue, I contacted them and they said (I have had this before) I could return it, but that they would prefer I keep it at 20% off and they would send me the right color, that one at 20% off too. They didn't want anything to do with a full return or have to reship a new one when they get the wrong color one back, well I got both for 40% of each one (those I sold for 20% off and made the other 20% profit). The other missing items were refunded to me, and would be recovered through this insurance claim. Still had the insurance form from the PS5, and had to deal with FedEx, they didn't get my signature and put someone elses on there,(for real) I got the run around, Walmart had said that there was a signature, so they can't do anything and FedEx had said it was delivered, big billion dollar companies pointing the finger at each other, and I have to do all this work. It's not my job, my job is to shop and pay, which I did and it's up to Walmart and seller, and shipping company to get it to get it to me safely, they did none of that. Walmart says I needed to deal with my bank (debit/credit card) if FedEx wouldn't do anything. I filed a claim through automated FedEx and got a claim #,. I told them that Walmart says it's on them and it was delivered and signed for. They wanted me to check my neighbors and around the street. There's no one in my building with the name they said signed, MIKE.D and that's not my name. They tell me they need some more info and the seller number , a 9 digit number, which was supposed to be walmarts. More run around, this went on for 3 months, back and forth, I never filled out the insurance form until the end, with everything and signed it from Walmart and the seller, I told FedEx that I had the insurance form and scanned it to them. I gave them an inventory list, and the high price PS5, was over valued and they accepted the insurance form and issued a refund insurance payment. FedEx had advised during the process they needed the 9 digital seller number, Walmart and seller said they did not have it or know what I was talking about. FedEx said Walmart can sign over ownership of the items, waving their rights to file a claim, Walmart didn't know what I was talking about again, and I had to convince FedEx I had this insurance form from Walmart/seller, which it was. I ended up getting a full refund twice, one from sellers and one from the FedEx insurance. To save time, it was around Christmas lots of deliveries, I believe FedEx just signed for the big box, and left it. Someone had opened the box and took stuff out, the PS5 had its own seller double the price, and I dealt with that, then I was able to get the rest of the items refunded, except the one controller that wasn't stolen, but was the wrong color, and got 2 at 40% of each one, but sold them for 20% off each. Mad at FedEx, I kept at them and Walmart, flooded them with emails and calls, they tried to get me to cancel the charge, but got FedEx to accept the insurance form and I got a refund from this FedEx insurance. It went through. The entire time they tried to trick me and trip me up, a lot of work by big companies and the little guy doing all the work! So keep at your methods and your story, a lot came up, and I just kept working at it. Worked out well. I spoke with good friends at Amazon and FedEx, they don't care to make you wait and run you around, trip you up, and FedEx will sign and leave it, the drivers first and last initial. That's not signed delivery. Busy times of the year rush the drivers. Unfortunately there were several mishaps here, and I still don't have a PS5. PM for further, sorry about the length. G |
