I've actually written an article on this. It's In draft mode at the moment awaiting to be proofread.

Provided you match the weight and the external packaging of the box does not have a clear window (film) where the Item can be viewed, then It has a very good chance of success.

I'm really happy to hear that I could think of something not yet published Smile

You've certainly done well with bringing the method to the attention of this thread.

The only way I could see this failing, Is If the administration/accounts department of the company check the Item's order history. If they Identify that It's "not a return", but rather yet to be dispatched (as received from their supplier/manufacturer), then It will most likely fail. I've outlined ways to circumvent this In my blog and will publish It when time permits.

So many options! haha Would you see the blood on the box option working with Amazon? That is where I would probably get it from. I could look down the route of getting it from Nvidia themselves but that would probably require a DNA and I am too pussy to do it hahaha.

I wouldn’t use the wrong gpu found in the box if you’re ordering on release or very close to it

Ye If I was going to use that method It would definitely be a month or 2 down the line I did think of that ahah

It's best to say blood on the "Item" and not the box. The latter can be replaced and resold, the Item can't.

The method works on almost any company, but Its success rate Isn't as high as the other traditional methods.

Then I shall ask this If this was your SE what method would you do to secure optimum success rate? (Please don't say DNA) hahah.

The option I see are:
DNA, Wrong Item received, Partial method or boxing them via multiple techniques.
Of course you have to stick with the definition of the method, you are not using the wrong item received if you substitute the GPU with a random item you own. That it's another thing and of course it won't work. They are not stupid.

Of course, If I was going to use the wrong item I usually get another item straight from amazon to a different address and account of the same size or weight then do the wrong item.

This Is precisely how It should be done.

As such, If they scan the return, they'll see that It's part of their Inventory and assume that It was Incorrectly sent.
