You should've ordered each SSD on separate consignments.

Simply SE just the one- the likelihood of only one missing, will not raise suspicion.

Do they have the ability to crosscheck that I have returned these exact boxes and then come and look for their money?
Who's to say that the buyer (who purchased your return), didn't steal the Items?

That Is, did what you did by SEing the company?

This obviously Is the "sealed box method", that has a very high chance of success- provided there's no signs of tampering whatsoever.

Never occurred to me to order them separately though my original plan did not require it.

Great point, never even thought about it. Thank you!

I am familiar with it and I have heard only good things about it hence why it intrigued me. It is certainly something I will try to do in the future.

I think I need to stick to my plan, I have worked out providing evidence and I will be contacting Currys and not Samsung (still via PayPal).
I ran through the posibilites and drew pros and cons list, seems my original idea/method has a high chance of success without requiring extra work.

Today I had a longer conversation with one of the customer service agents and I inquired about my order and why it has been delayed for almost 10 days.
He explained to me in detail what has happened and why it is taking so long, sadly it is unlikely I will receive it next week. I plan to use this in my advantage.

What plan/method have you decided that you'll be ultimately using?

RE: Currys UK Wrong Item Received? - Fastera - 07-25-2020

As per my original post. I will claim to have received the wrong item, more specifically wrong capacity.

RE: Currys UK Wrong Item Received? - Fastera - 08-14-2020

Sadly Currys are not able to fulfil my order. As such this SE is not successful.
I hope to try it again after the corola virus situation has cleared a bit.

Thank you all for your input and suggestions.

What method did you end up using, and on what grounds did they decline your claim?

They were not able to fulfil my order. As in they were not able to send the product I purchased.

Be careful with Argos.

They have CCTV cameras In place when picking, packing and dispatching orders.
