The point Is, they'll check the return and establish that the parts do not belong to them. That Is, not part of their Inventory.

The SE will then obviously fail.

Packages are weighed on consignment, so I assume the parts are way too heavy for the EB method, yes?

Yes, this Is correct.

As long as the tracking number shows as "being delivered" with the correct sender & receiver details, then It's fine.

Essentially what i'm returning is the same parts but different brands and clearly used. As long as the tracking says delivered should be good?
You've filed for "Item not as described" via PayPal, correct?

If so, It's almost certain that the seller will check the return- just to establish what he/she believes was dispatched. As such, PayPal's decision can be appealed.

If you're not comfortable nor confident with any method, don't use It, particularly the flawed FTID.

Yes,  i filed item not as described and I wrote that the parts came busted up, broken with missing nuts etc etc. So do you recommend that I send them old parts back? dry ice or empty box?  also its about 3 boxes.
You must wait for PayPal to accept your claim and ask you to return the items. I doubt the company will refund you directly.

Once PayPal asks you to return the items, you can then decide whether to use the eb or weight/random items method.

Until then there's no point stressing about it. PayPal might not even accept your claim.

RE: Paypal dispute assistance - Exodeen - 07-12-2020

But normally Paypal requests to return the items at our expense and send them the tracking number, Paypal generally refunds the order when you indicate that you have received the wrong items

do not use the return labels of the company, it is easier for them to trace the stock etc. especially if it's a small company

then you can request a refund of the shipping costs at paypal

A weight of this capacity, shouldn't even be considered, let alone performed with the EB/boxing method.

It's even too heavy for dry Ice- It will not allow enough time for sublimation.

Just an update, so I sent back all of the old parts and used their shipping label, I just got an email saying I won the dispute. So i should be good?

A PayPal dispute Is to try and come to an agreement between the buyer & seller before It gets escalated to a claim.

Given you've won, I'd say you're good to go.
