In my view, I believe the sealed box method has a better chance of success.

Of course, there are a number of factors to consider. For example, whether the box has been sealed as per the manufacturer's state without any signs of tampering whatsoever, Its weight (obviously) matching the original content, and If the company has the manpower to "thoroughly" and physically check every Intricate detail.

Accurate.

The only down side is that you can't keep the box, so if you plan to resell it's a bit more hassle to get another one.

I've recently found a new UK company that seems very potent and not many people know about. I just done sealed box with a a camera and a separate lens. Swapped them both out for broken old models from eBay, got my money back within days (well it states transaction issued, still waiting for it to appear in my acc). But the lens didn't even have a security seal from manufacturer or reseller. And it was pretty obvious that the lens was used. So seems like a good sign/basis for a MacBook.

No, meaning the Item Itself Is too big to box.

Not that It can't be done, but a tear & tape on a package that's the size of a MacBook, will most likely be Instantly noticed by the carrier when picked up and scanned. As such, a damage report will be raised and recorded at their depot prior to delivery.

Do you think the following plan is flawed majorly in anyway?

If i happened to purchase a MacBook from Curry's, via PayPal, then go via PayPal to return it (for any reason, perhaps not as described? I can even inform Curry's that I received someone else's order/ an incorrect item?). Proceed to send back a box with dry ice of matching weight to the MacBook. But box will not have any signs of damage / theft. I can also include some spam mail in the box. I will have a record of me sending this away to Curry's for return with a receipt as proof of postage.

As the box is empty with just junk mail inside when it arrives back to Curry's, they should hopefully dispose of it. As it won't have my rma number inside, not any legitimate products. Therefore they will effectively "loose my return/items". I will proceed to contact PayPal with my returns tracking receipt, and in theory they should side with me, correct?

So if this is s legitimate method with high chance of success, I don't see why I can't get two MacBooks simultaneously then. Aslong as the weight of the return parcel adds up.

What are your thoughts?

Then this will give Currys a reason to check the return.

They're awaiting the return of the wrong Item to place It back In their Inventory, so they will check Its contents.

Your return will be Identified by the tracking number, that's associated with the sender- "you".

When they scan the return In their Inwards goods, your details and order number will show up.

A lot of room for error as stated above.

I see your point, so I really have to make it look like it was tampered with in transit.

If you're planning to box them, yes. But due to Its size, you may run Into Issues as already discussed.

You can also use the sealed box method as stated earlier.
