however I think that some very valid methods are FTID and empty box (only for that which is light of course)

There's only one FTID method that has the best chance of succeeding.

The rest are based on the probability of both the carrier and company, not doing their job properly.

The thought of leaving it to chance is spook.

On this note I have an idea on how to possibly improve the method I want your opinion, what if instead of including bubble wrap it was a generic advertisement you included. I receive them all the time in the mail lawn care, maintenance, consulting etc. That would remove suspicion of it being empty. what do you think?

Yes, that is much better than an empty bubble mailer.

There's always an element of risk when SEing, Irrespective of how well the method Is formulated and executed.

Unfortunately, due to the flaws of the so-called FTID method, the success rate Is significantly less compared to traditional methods.

Yes, I'm well aware of the methodologies used when boxing.

In terms of "filling with sand", It's futile If the company checks the package on receipt.

(06-16-2020, 10:48 PM)Filament Wrote: What kind of situation makes dry ice not suitable?
One of countless examples (and stating the obvious), Is If the Item Is light enough to not register a weight on consignment, then dry Ice Is not required when boxing.

Ah right, that's another obvious one. I'm thinking also during the winter when it's colder it's not as suitable unless shipping by ground and very far away.

I'm trying to think of what method is best for various situations. I think empty box works really well for really light < 100g items, but much more than that it poses a risk since on investigation they'll find that the package weight is not correct and you can fill the package with packing materials only so much.

you could put the dry ice inside the package and say that you were wrong to make the order ... so they shouldn't check ... this method had recommended me @mothered to change the broken ps3
Did you try it out? If so, how'd it work out?

not yet ... but honestly with ice I don't think to try ... as soon as I have the money I text the ps4 replacing it with the ps3

Are you planning to purchase the PS4, and SE the company by returning the PS3?

I always try to advocate learning how to SE instead of refund when you don't have the funds. It requires no investment, though it is a bit more work than a refund.

Agree.

You don't have a (physical) foundation to work with, so your options/methods are limited.
