I'm not sure what to make of It at this point.

The only way to fully establish whether they do/do not support custom-made Items, Is to sift through every Intricate detail In their terms.

Yeah I've been searching but haven't really found anything explicitly stating it either. I tried calling them but to no avail. I tried going on a few refunding shops and asking about it in the group chats/ to the main refunder, but nobody is answering my question. I don't think a lot of them actually know the terms very well to be honest. Just a suspicion.
I'll keep doing what research I can, but if I can't find anything conclusive, I'll just give it a try and we'll see how it goes.
As a combined effort, we'll see what we can come up with.

I agree that their staff are not fully aware of their terms- lacking of training and awareness Is the most probable reason.

Ah, don't worry about it. I appreciate the thought, but I'm sure you have better things to do with your time.
The only reference I have for them accepting custom-made items is that one page. They never updated their terms (at least according to their policy updates) accordingly though. I wasn't able to find anything explicitly stating it, but I'll just keep my eyes peeled.

I've never actually gone through a paypal dispute, but maybe they won't even ask for the invoice/ proof of purchase since the purchase was processed through them. Unless the company explicitly states it, maybe they'll just be in the dark about it being custom-made. Smile
Considering how many refunding services offer to refund from them, I know it's definitely possible, at the least.

At the time of this post, I'm multitasking with (obviously) this board, exploiting a government website (75% done after one week of countless attack vectors), and updating my SEing blog, hence my delay In replies.

PayPal can be quite complicated to deal with at times, whilst on the other hand, Issue a refund with virtually no questions asked.

For the most part, their compliance with the buyer Is taken on a case-by-case basis.

Wow, what in the world. I really want to learn more about you, but don't want to derail this thread. If you don't mind, open up an AMA some day Smile

Got it. Good to know.

Company came back and told me the CPU is on backorder. I can replace the part, but it might split add another transaction. The Paypal terms don't mention anything about purchase protection with multiple payments, but I've found other parts of the site that state Purchase Protection is only eligible if it's all in one payment. Man, Paypal is sloppy.

Yeah - I found it weird after doing some research. Hopefully we'll get to the bottom of this Smile
Post any information you find out!

Update:
Company told me my order is a high-risk order and at this rate, it will not get processed. I didn't receive much detail as to why - getting a call back later with more information. The rep told me I should remake my order via CC/money order instead of Paypal. Maybe they got raped too much lol

A lot happens behind the scenes, of which I'm not at liberty to openly discuss.

Back on-topic.

RE: Paypal with custom built PC - Filament - 06-12-2020

Update:

Spoke with another rep. He told me we're all good in the hood, just have to take out the soundcard because it wouldn't fit well.
I asked about the order being "high-risk" and he said there isn't an issue. Not sure what first rep was going on about.

You're good to go.

Where possible, It's good practice to get confirmation In writing- via email. There have been Instances, whereby reps have said one thing, yet delivered another.

Yup, got everything reconfirmed in email as well just to be sure. Smile
Thanks for the heads-up though.

Trying to prepare for the refund...
I've estimated computer weight to be around ~55lbs.
FOB Point is at their warehouse, so risk of loss is handed to me upon transit.
Courier will be UPS with UPS Ground 3 day shipping to me. I believe they will be giving me a return label, but I'm not 100% on that.
Their warehouse is roughly ~350 miles away from me in the same state. It looks like UPS ships over Saturday.
I called my local dry ice company and they said it'll probably take about 3 days for 50 pounds of dry ice to sublimate completely.
Ordered through Paypal. Still not too sure about the custom-built thing, but talking to a few people that have refunded from them, it seems like they didn't have any issues going through Paypal.

I'm thinking FTID may be the way to go. Thoughts?

Expected ship date isn't until early July so still have ample time, but want to be as prepared as possible.
