What if the SEer took it, and the delivery is marked as complete. Then said SEer denies they have taken it. How would the delivery driver be able to proof they didn't just take it for themselves and pretend someone took it?

This Is why I keep mentioning that a package that's marked as delivered, does not conclude that you've personally received It.
One way I can see this failing when using Royal Mail, Is If they've delivered to hundreds of households In a given time frame, and you're the only one who claims not to have received the package. In such cases, the company will side with the majority and not the minority.

Do you use PayPal for payment for curry's PC? If that is the case, I would be hesitant about thinking DNA would work with certainty if it fails with the merchant. I say this because I often think of PayPal as a safety net and sometimes it is for failures, but PayPal only cares about the tracking confirmation and nothing else.

Unrelated to conversations above, but a way that corona may help with SE: you can claim you have corona or you got the item for a friend who has corona in the hospital or something. They may not want to accept the item and simply process refund/ replacement. A single data point, but Bose insisted on proof of destruction when I tried this.
