Yes FTID worked with John Lewis without PayPal.

Did you send the EB directly to them, or to an address nearby?

Can't comment for @TiPs, but in general directly to them is safer. I've had SE fail with a modified address. I was a lot less informed of the FTID method (having only read Bob's e-book and believing it, rather than properly researching) so there were other factors that may have led to the failure though.

It was sent back direct to them empty with no weight. Waited 2-3 days and contacted them via live chat and they "contacted" the returns team while I was on chat and then processed refund. Not sure if I was lucky or what so cannot confirm if this would work for you also sorry

Great to have another data point. Thanks. Smile
No reason to apologize.

This ^

Stating the obvious, carriers base their deliveries by scanning packages, as opposed to delivering via the written address.

I think Bob must be living In the 70s, whereby every package label was manually generated, delivered against Its written text and physically filed/archived thereafter.

Hi All,

Thanks for this thread, really useful. @TiPs, can I ask what was the approximate order value for your John Lewis order? Also what carrier you used to return?

RE: Currys/John Lewis FTID - Checkpoint - 06-25-2020

I heard Jhon Lewis is cracking down on FTID and refunds, with possible legal consequences, just hearsay though, no proofs

Interesting.

If I may ask, where did you hear this?
