How did you manage to have the crowbar on hand at the time of the (unexpected) fight?
They never specified exactly how they got into a fight, it is not impossible that they started the fight themself. This would explain the origin of the crowbar.

we were drunk in a parking lot, i have some tools in the car, this time it came in handy . anyway the guy sure didnt see that coming
