I see your point with parcel theft, but just because It's not a commonality In your locality, It doesn't mean It cannot and will not happen. For Instance, If you didn't personally accept the delivery and It was left at the front door of your home, as far as you're concerned, It didn't arrive- hence stolen. Even If It was delivered at your local post office and requires a signature for pickup, that's also easily bypassed. There's "always" a way to circumvent every person, entity and situation.

Please keep us updated with new developments.

Where I live is an everyone knows everyone places the post office is family run so that's out of the question as they know me well. My only hope is to send my old keyboard in its place and hope they don't be too alarmed by it not closing properly.  I haven't contacted Amazon yet so I can go either way. I'll let you know what I decide.

I see what you mean with the close-knit community.

I shall await for further developments.

Purchased a beat up one from eBay and sending that instead.

Thanks again

No problem at all, you're welcome.

Given the volume of claims for refunds/replacements, sometimes they don't have the manpower to check each and every return, hence class It as a write-off. We'll see what happens from this point forward.
