You could have changed a few numbers to make a new serial.
Even if they did claim on the serial that you used nothing will happen, Logitech doesn't bill.

I'll rephrase my question. What gives you the Impression that the owner or some SE'r will In fact do a warranty claim?

Because there’s methods out there for SE’ers to use a serial number when doing a request for replacement of the product. Many well known forums and discord servers are sharing a method for UE. Moreover, the owner may do a warranty claim longer down the line when it becomes defective and what happen when the owner show a valid receipt/invoice of the package? Or many se’ers use the same serial number? Wouldn’t that ring any bells on the company?

I understand how It works. I've been In the scene for 25+ years.

I'm more so referring to why you're questioning the (long shot) probability of a given user submitting a claim against a serial. It may or may not happen- the likely hood being the latter. When you SE, try not to overthink It. Take It for what It Is at the time, rather than drawing conclusions that may never eventuate.

I understand that it's better to be naive than to not be, this will be my first SE with Logitech/UE so I assume they wouldn't do anything substantial to prosecute me if that'd ever be the case, however, I always want to be on the safe side than to be naive. So what is the premise that they'd prosecute me? What would happen if I don't accept the package when it arrive, they did pay for customs, tax and shipping to my country so that must be atleast 100$ alone. And the ''megaboom'' costs 300$ or something on their website.

Unfortunately, it’s too late for me to change any number. Now I have to deal with the mistakes that I did, what happen if I don’t pick up the items from the postal office? Considering how they paid around a total of 100 or a bit more USD to ship it to me, including tax and tariff fees, to a European country.

What should my next chess move be? I read on another thread here that they will prosecute me if I take 400$< from the company, and the product is worth like 300 or more dollars on their website. So the total would sum up to a higher price, wouldn’t it?

I see your standpoint and appreciate your position.

The chance of prosecution Is slim, particularly over a measly serial number. As far as you're concerned, you've simply provided the Incorrect serial that just happened to belong to someone else. There are so many ways to work around It- and that's where your SEing skill set comes Into effect.

They didnt pay that much since they ship within europe and second trust me and dont worry, there are people who have done them 15 times to the same address and are all right
