I tried doing that multiple times. 90% it's a fail... I tried that IN A PAST. Back when the first one was not a problem. Now, even the first one becomes a problem, If i get a success, I'm just moving on. I can tell you what will happen. I contact them. The brainless rep will transfer me to a rep with a few more brain cells than the first one. He's gonna point the fact that I already have the missing package happen to me before and they need to investigate further to prevent this happening again. After 72hrs they will ask for a police report. RE: Amazon is really pissing me off... - mothered - 01-14-2018 (01-14-2018, 03:13 AM)Vadja007 Wrote: I tried that IN A PAST. As recent as today, the account was not an Issue. Please post your method (verbatim), and I'll try to Identify exactly what's going on. I'm running late for a meeting, so I shall return later today. This is the failed attempt https://imgur.com/a/4sC9A and this is the success.. https://imgur.com/a/ZX8DU Same item. Pretty much same story. Different result. RE: Amazon is really pissing me off... - DarkMuse - 01-14-2018 It's almost like they're catching on to people stealing from them? I'd try differing time lengths between each SE and figure out the time restrictions. If I had to guess, they might have setup a system which takes in data from refunds and logically determines if it's sketchy or not i.e. same address and multiple refunds in 24 hours, 48 hours, etc etc etc... Use your head and don't be a skid. SE strengthen companies and when idiots use it, nobody is benefited. Back when the first one was not a problem. Now, even the first one becomes a problem By no means are both equal to each other. In fact, "every" SE Is based on It's merit- no two are alike. * Your (as you put It) "failed attempt" has opened an Investigation due to receipt of delivery as confirmed by the Tracking number. I'll elaborate on this In a moment. * The successful SE either did not have a Tracking number, and/or the Amazon representative was vulnerable enough to simply go ahead with the refund. Now with the first SE pertaining to the Tracking number, an Investigation has been Initiated as part of company protocol, that Is, to move forward with their paperwork and work towards concluding the matter. As I keep reiterating, an Investigation Is not a failed attempt. It's simply part of company procedure based on the merit of the account holder's circumstances at the time. Did Amazon conclude that they will not replace/refund the Item? No, of course not hence your request Is still In transit. Be patient, wait for their response and take It from there. Some constructive advice, refrain from sounding somewhat desperate during your SE: Quote:Can you give me anything at the moment? This Is really annoying. When social engineering, every minute detail Is critical and can ultimately be the deciding factor between success and failure. RE: Amazon is really pissing me off... - Skryptec - 01-14-2018 It also depends a bit on the rep. Just don't try to refund Amazon, try to refund from the manufacturer directly. So let me get this straight, you're "pissed off" because you keep getting caught trying to steal from people? RE: Amazon is really pissing me off... - Jiggly - 01-14-2018 I'd be surprised if the methods one is using today are the same as a year ago. Imagine you have 1000 skids all trying to pull the same crap - Someone is going to notice. Now, the reps you speak to may not even be solely working for amazon (someone with more knowledge might be able to correct me) and their first point of contact could be outsourced for all I know. The point I'm making here, is different departments/sourcing of reps can lead to different training quality. Some reps might just be more familiar with the company policy than others. I'm sure mothered could help narrow down the real issue with you. In terms of Identifying social engineering attacks, this Is certainly the case not only with Amazon, but with almost every organization (to some degree). Some either do not receive any training whatsoever and those who do, don't have policies In place to retrain, refresh and Improve their skill set. It's human nature to Ignore, forget or simply not absorb the training received and as such, It's Imperative to Implement It on a regular basis. As I've mentioned quite a while back on this board (In my very own words), It Is a T.A.S.K: T= Training A= Awareness S= Skill set K= Know-how RE: Amazon is really pissing me off... - Vadja007 - 01-14-2018 Thanks for replies,,, Back to my screenshots. FYI, they're both have tracking numbers.FBA always provides tracking numbers when they ship. If tracking weren't provided, there wouldn't be an issue. I did try to contact manufacturer at some point, they said "Since it was FBA, i shoud contact AZ or The carrier directly." When you come back after 72 hrs, They'll pull off the typical police report. Then, unless you wanna f**k with police report, it's a fail. I've annualized all my attempts (both failed an successful, and came to the conclusion, that it's completely luck based lately. Sometimes you get lucky, and they will do it right away. Sometimes You're just s**t outta luck.. If anyone has any other tips/suggestions. I'll be happy to hear them |
