I've refunded iPads and iPhones before from Amazon, and they weren't locked for me. I'm not sure about an S8.

Also, how old was your account and how many orders did it have? I'm interested in how they accepted it.

This does not affect anything amazon has a lot of opening gaps to exploit i have found myself and SE'ing amazon is a simple task but you must require third party assistance from other companies using the terms "health" and "safety" will ensure success any company doesn't want to get sued or have a issue on court they would refund or send a replacement that is their priority

This will most likely work each and every time.

Even If a given company doesn't comply with Health & Safety regulations, It's taken very seriously by the law of which they trade under.

i doubt they will block anything, it's usually scare tactics.

The account is brand new. Never ordered anything on it before. Ordered a case and S8 ( delivered by UPS IRELAND ) and no hassle from them at all.

That's actually pretty crazy. I didn't think they would accept that much on a brand new account.

Yep, they blacklist the ESN and IMEI from the networks it's compatible with, so it's bricked (if they even bother doing it).

Its unlocked to any network so compatible with all networks ?.. Phone is still working fine anyway
