The problem is I'm not sure how often the pin gets bent in the box, or if Amazon would know if I got sent the wrong one. They would probably make me send the CPU back either way, and I need to figure out how to get around that. Pins do not get bent in the box. And knowing the type of person that does uneducated retail theft, it's likely an Intel processor you're stealing. Intel CPUs use LGA (Land Grid Array) silicon, meaning there aren't any pins on the CPU. You'd have better luck using a freezer to crack the solder on the die cap, then having Amazon exchange your CPU and give you a 50% discount. Easy way to get half off. I have smaller capacity SSD's of the same model so I could send that back. The problem is, it's usually labeled with a small sticker on the SSD box what size the SSD. That won't work. The model number is specific to the capacity. (12-02-2017, 09:14 PM)captainblund Wrote: Which one do yall think is the best choice? Or is there an easier item to SE that I didn't mention. I need to plan this out before going through I think they're all relatively stupid ideas and equally unresearched, good luck, hopefully you don't get caught. No, that's not OK. That's lying for the purpose of theft. Don't claim package didn't arrive, do some trickery and get them to double send the package. The report feature on the board is extremely useful for posts you consider spam, and it would help your standing here if you just silently reported posts rather than flaming another user. The customer service people at amazon are regular folks not computer engineers, they have no clue if the pins can be bent or not. Either way he will get his refund with that excuse. My current ideas are https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Radiator-Advanced You have two options. First option is to order 2 of these^ and then refund it. second option is order one on an account you already use and then refund it. and then order another one on a new Amazon account and then refund that. If I was you I would go with the second option but the first one is quite easy as well prior to you knowing what you are doing and have a good plan which you can apply. Most likely you will not be asked for a Police report but please don't use the "Mah baaax wus umpty, wah daahfuq?" However, I'm most worried about what can happen if they deny it. Is there a chance they'll put me into investigation? What are the odds of the SE failing? I'd recommend you to stay under $215. You can use a fresh account and order any item under $215 and then proceed to reimburse yourself without any problems. But with an aged account or even a new account that has some decent orders on it, now that baby can handle more than $215 for sure . And an investigation doesn't always mean you've been neutralized. Just wait for the outcome and then proceed from there.

In all fairness, neither you or I know the caliber of Amazon's personnel. It's best to formulate a methodology that caters for every possible scenario.
