And to all the ones calling him names for this...

One day I ordered a drill / impact / saw / flash light set off of Amazon. After it mysteriously never showed up tool barn and Amazon both requested a police report before they would authorize a replacement or refund. With me being the productive member of society I am, I called my local police department and invited them over. While we were sitting there drinking coffee and discussing the reason I called them over (they were surprised since all other times they visited my house it was to arrest me or investigate crimes I was accused of). I simply explained that the drill combo set was allegedly delivered, I never received it and invited them to begin an investigation. I allowed them to look around my house and one of my garages to ensure there was nothing there of the sorts. Upon completion of the investigation they wrote me a police report on the spot and took my written statement. When it was all said and done I ended up recieving my refund and actually one of the neighbors "accidently recieved my package".  I called the local PD and they simply closed the case, they didn't understand why I needed the report I'm the first place since they weren't going to go look at every drill set in our county. The police were never informed of the reasoning behind my police report and I actually handed my neighbor $50 "for being honest about the situation" lol

Long story short, nothing is impossible and as long as you control a situation everything is a possibility.

I'm not sure what you meant by this? Were you talking about me or the OP?

That's actually really interesting. I've had me some odd encounters with the police in my day, but I'm pretty sure if I called the police for any reason back home, I'd be beaten, arrested, and locked in a freezer.

What exactly did you tell Amazon for them to allow you to get an online report? I'm in the same situation more or less

Just rant about how the police station dont do physical reports anymore and just be pissed overall.

RE: Police rapport, Amazon. - RichieRich - 09-10-2017

Right not sure what country you're from but in England Amazon ask for a physical  copy of the police report with a specific crime report number as well as the station and other miscellaneous details, told them I was on vocation so there was no way for me to obtain it and went as far as calling and reporting it once in the past and getting a crime reference number yet it was useless in the end as they kept requesting a physical copy of the crime report.

If you get to the point where they need a police report, you've been caught, period.
