RE: Mars userbar - zorrophreak - 09-05-2017 Looks very nice. I see everyone mentioning that it looks like Lunar. Definitely some similarities but definitely not a clone. Good work! RE: Mars userbar - Jiggly - 09-05-2017 The Lunar coincidence is amusing, but I think I like it more because of that. I really like this design. Do you have more work you could share? It's very smooth! RE: Mars userbar - mothered - 09-05-2017 (09-04-2017, 09:03 PM)Luxury Wrote: Yes Photoshop only Photoshop seems to be the norm with most designers. Some also use Illustrator. Again, well done. Pixelmator in combination with GIMP might compare to photoshop, but each alone are not enough. Affinity is nice for graphic design, but does need a bit more work. I can see why Adobe has the monopoly, but Affinity might catch up in the near future. I don't pump them out like kids but I just design when I think of something new. This is the first I've done in this style and as I don't know modern userbar styles I plan to stick with this one. Not something I could justify unless I used it professionally. I would use if for digital drawing, which means I have a lot of alternatives that are significantly less expensive. I currently use a little Japanese program called Paint Tool Sai. Not the same by any means, but it does what I need. As of the time It became a subscription-based service, It changed the views of many consumers/end users. Rather than paying a ridiculous annual fee, they've opted for similar alternatives. RE: Mars userbar - Ecks - 09-14-2017 I have Krita and Gimp, was a major fan of Paint.Net on Windows, I also enjoyed Substance painter, Mari and a few others. I do have a thread where you can find anything CG related, from 2d art programs to full 3d development software and anything in between @ https://sinister.ly/Thread-Loads-of-CG-programs RE: Mars userbar - Luxury - 09-14-2017 (09-14-2017, 06:58 AM)Ecks Wrote: I have Krita and Gimp, was a major fan of Paint.Net on Windows, I also enjoyed Substance painter, Mari and a few others. Legal or not. I've got the student discount setup to my business accounts so I really never pay for it. It's a godsend when switching between AE and Premiere |
