Do many canadians celebrate this actually ?
It's comparable to 4th of July celebrations, but doesn't get as much notice due to our smaller population.

I have a lot of friends on the interwebs, many in Canada and they all celebrate, Last time I visited Canada one of my friends even got me an honorary Mountie badge. Canadians are good folks they just get a bad rap because because their heads flap up and down when they talk.
