Basically makes sense. Although @12 you said that each case is individual and stuff which I agree with, but what do you feel is the more common one to blame? The rapist or victim in general cases of we looked at them not as individual cases.

If a person, male or female have been proven by law and evidence to be rapist then he was either framed for it or he did it. (Or being insanely unlucky.) Though to humor you, if they admitted to rape (as in a scenario where he tackled someone and continued on to have sexual intercourse without consent) then they are a rapist and the fault lies with them. As for which is more common, if you think its more common to blame the victim in a scenario like this, then you are watching too much media or reading too much blank journalism. They are after attention when they display cases where someone was raped and to that end they try to cash as much out of it as possible. Social media and magazines actually do a good job on this.

Without inside knowledge, its near impossible to determine who has the fault. Though what seems, isn't always true as they say. I tend not to blame either party until I have some sort of evidence that prove that one side did something they shouldn't. If I gain such evidence I go and talk to the ones it puts in a bad light, if they can prove it wrong then I won't do anything. If they however cannot, then I usually side with the side that hasn't done something they shouldn't. This is the case for rape as well. There have been scenarios where people, both male and female have called the cops claiming to have been raped. Though in reality they had a one-night stand with someone and regretted it.

There have also been cases where a person takes drugs before a one night stand or casual sex and gives some to their partner without their consent and the result is that their partner forces themselves on them under the influence of drugs they weren't even aware of. In a case such as this, people usually blame the one that forced themselves, even though they were under the influence of drugs given to them without their consent by the person who claims to be raped. While yes, someone was raped, the blame shouldn't be placed with the one that force, but rather the one that had the drugs in a case like this.

Hence, the victim can be blamed. Though so can the person who does it. Which is why I said to take each case individually.

On social media and such its more common to blame the victim as it generates more exposure, the sole role a social media plays is that. News papers, magazines and so on also aims for this. (Hence why they priorities content that will get attention over content that should get attention.)

They might have taken a sudden dislike to their partner, they might have done it for money or any other reason that suits them. In a scenario like this "rape" is their issue, and their fault as they make up a lie. Because of scenarios like this, people started to place blame on everything else they could. Along with this, victims of rape often comment that people started to view them differently and treat them differently, which leaves them with a feeling that "they did something wrong" when in reality they didn't.

In a actual scenario where rape too place, a lot of things can change and alter the outcome. If someone tackles another person in the street and proceed to have sexual intercourse without their consent then that is rape. If two people start to have sex and one person suddenly changes opinion half way through and say they want, and the other part stops right away, then that isn't rape. Even though there have been a lot of cases where the person who still wanted and stopped was arrested for rape because the person who had second thoughts yelled rape afterwards. In this scenario the fault (objectively) lies with the person who got second doubts and not the person who did the right thing.

Scenarios like this has made it hard to decide that whenever someone have been raped or not. So called evidence of a rape can fairly easily be faked if someone please, or have been brought on my consensual sex. (The more hardcore variant mind you.) This lead people to try and place blame on someone, and thus some decided that the blame is of those that got raped because of any number of reasons. Maybe they didn't protect themselves good enough? Maybe they are lying? Maybe they got a twisted idea of it because they suddenly had second thoughts even if their partner stopped when they asked? Point being, saying that its always the fault of the person who 'rapes' is wrong, and saying the same about the person who gets raped is also wrong.

Each case is a individual one, and should be treated as such. (Though as I said earlier, about tackling and what not above. That remains actual rape.)

I agree with this 100%. I know men who have gone to prison for rape when in reality it was consensual and the person felt bad about it afterwards and cried rape.

No it's not the woman's fault it's completely the guys fault for not being able to control his feelings or the way he acts. But obviously a woman can also rape.

RE: Rape? - Vxn - 09-12-2016

If you say it's the women's fault you are insanely stupid.

RE: Rape? - zenith - 09-12-2016

I feel like more times than not. It is the rapists fault. But there are certain scenarios that could be the victims fault / the victim lying in the first place

Same goes for all three genders (jk) (only 2 to confirm)

It is the rapist's fault.

What if the woman leads the man in with promiscuous behaviour and then decides to call rape when she starts blackmailing him
