On what grounds though, can bans be lifted? Would It be based on Staff's discretion?

Also curious of this, I'd say it would be discussed among the Staff, I do see bans being lifted.

Are processed appeals going to have their own section and be visible by everyone?

RE: Ban Appeals - Dean Winchester - 05-15-2016

This is going to be interesting. Gives banned members a chance at showing how good they can be when needed.

I'd say you're correct. Even permanent bans are not conclusive, some also get lifted.

The nature of some bans differ, so I suppose It does depend on why the offense occurred.

Sounds alright to me, you can view their opinion on another perspective. However, will all banned members be able to appeal?

I think all banned members are allowed to appeal. Unbanning them is purely upto staff or Oni's discretion.

I think this will mainly be Oni's decision with discussion among the rest of staff. Oni has been running SL for a long time and has seen how bans affect members.
This is a very fair system to have in place, allowing people to discuss what happened. A little more understanding of each others positions could probably go a long way.
