and Atom so far but I havent really got to USE them yet ya know. I made a simple virus follwin a youtube video and THAT was cool! but Im just starting at the very beginning.

Code Editor? Depends on what I do, VS for C languages, VSC for React or Website, Jetbrains IDEA for Java.

vscode is best imo, large amounts of extensions and integrated terminal, also nice debugging tools.

Notepadqq. I use Linux and Notepad++ has not been compiled for Linux, but Notepadqq is a good alternative. I used to use Atom text editor by Github, but it being based on Electron slowed my computer down a lot. Had to get rid of it
