Yeah, I've heard it was pretty buggy Installed it once on my mom's old laptop because it seemed to run a lighter load than Win Vista (it was an old computer lol) RE: Ubuntu ‘Spyware’ Will Be Disabled In Ubuntu 16.04 LTS - Loki123 - 02-05-2016 (01-20-2016, 02:52 AM)Yoko Wrote: I can't tell if you're baiting or just really dumb. Either way 3/10 bait. Personally I would take Windows over Ubuntu every day of the year. And I'm born and raised on GNU/Linux, since my first computer was running SuSE. It isn't a matter of if it is hard to learn or use, it just is so god damn buggy and slow in general. RE: Ubuntu ‘Spyware’ Will Be Disabled In Ubuntu 16.04 LTS - zorrophreak - 02-05-2016 I would prefer Windows over Ubuntu, simply because as of now, Ubuntu has so many functionality issues. It, along with all spins and remakes of it, have had functionality issues. Its not the Debian base either because when I use Debian I love it. I just always go back to Windows for my software. So, I'll hopefully use Debian and Windows 7 when I get my new computer. but we'll see! My reason (or should I say, one reason) for being on the Windows platform, Is for compatibility reasons. With my current setup consisting of a home network based on Windows, Ubuntu Is completely useless. Just joking I understand. I only use ubuntu as a temporary fix. Like when I need to repair someones pc, but I don't have a lot of time that day, I sometimes give a live cd of Ubuntu so they can still access the internet or their mail. Ubuntu is laggy and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone but for people who have no knowledge about linux at all, it sometimes is a nice alternative (temporary) OS.
