Sounds awesome, but don't believe for a moment it would be truly "private." The gov has their hands in everything these days. Sad but true. Here's hoping this can truly become a reality though.

It'll be another fad like BTC and TOR.

If the blockchains are structured like BTC then they would need to drastically change the system.

Exactly this.

When It comes about, I'll certainly be using It. It'll be Interesting to see If It lives up to It's objective.

It's probably a government scheme to get users to turn their heads from Tor to the supposedly new and improved anonymous network. They're promoting it heavily with over exaggerated improvements/features so that people already using Tor will think it's better, when really, this one is being created because the government has no control over Tor and creating a new private network is their best bet on catching any Tor users.

What's the point of this one when Tor does the job? Better yet, if this isn't already a government scheme, it will most likely turn into one considering the soon-to-be creator has already openly expressed himself as being the one to establish it. That being said, if government agencies want to catch people using it, they'll just force Kim to backdoor it and/or monitor users' actions. That's why Tor is simply better, the creator is unknown, meaning the government can't find him and force him to expose users.

I've heard that Tor had a few flaws, but what made it a fad?

Tons of news sites milking it til they can't anymore. An example is how almost every news site has said that the "deep web" (Tor) makes up 99% of the internet (which is a lie, by the way).

Also people like Edward Snowden.

It's a nice ripoff of Tor, but it will not be as used since it will not be 100% private and secure, and the Tor concept is not as widely cared about anymore. People loved the idea of tor when it came out, now nobody cares.

you're so uneducated on this topic?

>ripoff of tor
>nobody cares about tor
>anything being 100% secure.

No offence, but you're tossing your opinion around like it's backed up with factual evidence when it's clearly not.

Quote:fad
a thing that becomes very popular in a short amount of time, and then is forgotten at about the same speed.

A few months ago BTC was all over the news and became popular pretty fast but now the world has moved on and doesn't care about the whole cryptocurrency. It still holds some popularity but it's still a fad by definition.
