RE: [Anti-Golfing] Hello World - 0xDEAD10CC - 09-03-2015 So can I add a bunch of NOP's to my compiled binary? What exactly constitutes as part of the counted bytes? Additionally, what about libraries and binaries with the CRT? One might win in a language like C++; just write a bunch of templated junk and utilize template specialization to build on the size of the code. It's not just about the bytes, it's about the complexity of the process. Take Shebang's as an example. It's long as fuck but relatively simple. Just a nested program. Was considering just shoving NOPs in there too, do statically linked binaries increase the byte size? c: +1 for assembly guy though RE: [Anti-Golfing] Hello World - Misha- - 10-08-2015 http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=K05JEi0t Unlmao'd code: Code: var uppercaseh = "H";
var lowercasee = "e";
var lowercasel = "l";
var lowercaseo = "o";
var specialcharcomma = ",";
var uppercasew = "W";
var lowercaser = "r";
var lowercased = "d";
var specialcharexclamationmark = "!";
console.log(uppercaseh+lowercasee+lowercasel+lowercasel+lowercaseo+specialcharcomma);Can easily be made larger, i'm a lazy fuck tho. RE: [Anti-Golfing] Hello World - Megan - 10-08-2015 I tried this in python and I could only make it 98 bytes lol RE: [Anti-Golfing] Hello World - m0dem - 10-08-2015 Code: message = '''
H H EEE L L OOO W W OOO RR L DD /|
HHH EE L L O O WWW O O RRR L D D ||
H H EEE LLL LLL OOO *) WWW OOO R R LLL DD -/
/ ()
'''
print(message)Does ASCII art count? ![]() I'm just kidding. I might give it a real go though. But what does that mean: "complexity"? RE: [Anti-Golfing] Hello World - Penis - 10-09-2015 Does writing wrapper scripts count? or decrypting an encrypted blob of data? RE: [Anti-Golfing] Hello World - Misha- - 10-09-2015 This can be infinitely big. Just keep wrapping your initial script in an eval, for example: Code: eval(alert("Hello, World!"));
eval(eval(alert("Hello, World!")));
eval(eval(eval(alert("Hello, World!"))));RE: [Anti-Golfing] Hello World - Eclipse - 10-09-2015 (10-09-2015, 04:28 PM)Misha- Wrote: This can be infinitely big. Zero for complexity. Does statically compiling a lib count as more bytes? is it the source bytes or the resulting binaries bytes that it's judged apon |
