At home I use no seedbox or anything, get around 1.5-2mb /sec on torrents with a decent ratio.
University is a bit different because they're quite strict on the torrent rules, and I had a friend who actually got his internet revoked because of it. So, I use evoseedbox to download my torrents and then sftp through a vpn to download them from the box. I get crazy speeds on the seedbox. In fact, the limiting factor isn't the internet speed, its the read/write speed on the
HDD.

I download all torrents through a seedbox. If you buy hosting from a smaller web host, you can likely get away with running a script like torrentflux or w/e. Look for a smaller webhost that's newer and as long as you're not hammering it, they don't care.

I just have a VPS with XFCE and Transmission set up to download my torrents into a web directory. Works like a charm.

Considering they ignore large corporations, i'm not too worried.
