RE: [HC Official]Recommended Books Compilation for Beginners to Experts - Singularity_mybb_import13102 - 08-05-2014 Programming Language or Subject name : Vulnerability Discovery & Exploitation Books Recommended: Hacking The Art of Exploitation 2nd Edition Amazon Links: http://www.amazon.com/Hacking-The-Art-Exploitation-Edition/dp/1593271441/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1407245136&sr=8-1&keywords=hacking+the+art+of+exploitation Reason (optional but recommended) : I purchased this book, and have read through it. This book goes into great detail, you don't need to be very fluent in assembly or c code (however this will definitely help, and I recommend that you are fluent in both before purchasing) to follow along with this book. The book also came with a live cd that allows you to follow along. I must say my only complaint is that the live cd had issues with xserver. I could still do everything fine without the GUI though. Programming Language or Subject name : Network Security/Hacking Books Recommended: Hacking 7 Exposed Amazon Links: http://www.amazon.com/Hacking-Exposed-Network-Security-Solutions/dp/0071780289/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1407245901&sr=8-1&keywords=hacking+7+exposed Reason (optional but recommended) : I have also read through this book, which is quite big actually, reaching 741 pages. This book goes into pretty good detail on a lot of different ways to map out networks, find vulnerabilities, and how to exploit those vulnerabilities. The book doesn't only stop there though, it goes into detail on how you as an administrator could prevent the type of exploits they discuss throughout the book, hence it's bulky length. For someone who does not know Networking, I highly recommend they read through this book, I enjoyed it very much. RE: [HC Official]Recommended Books Compilation for Beginners to Experts - Boomslang - 08-05-2014 Programming Language or Subject name : Problem Solving and Program Design in C Books recommended (Multiple Links are allowed) : http://www.amazon.com/Problem-Solving-Program-Design-Edition/dp/0132936496 Reason (optional but recommended) : That's the only book I could find an English version. But its an awesome book I recommend it Compiler or Interpreter download link, or IDE or Tools : https://gcc.gnu.org/ RE: [HC Official]Recommended Books Compilation for Beginners to Experts - Psycho_Coder - 08-05-2014 (08-05-2014, 02:34 PM)Singularity Wrote: Programming Language or Subject name : Vulnerability Discovery & Exploitation (08-05-2014, 02:35 PM)RootTheSystem Wrote: Programming Language or Subject name : Problem Solving and Program Design in C Thread Updated.
