RE: Macchanger script - Ligeti - 02-26-2014 True you save time, but my point was: how often do you change your MAC address? (I am really asking this) RE: Macchanger script - chmod - 02-26-2014 (02-26-2014, 07:50 PM)Ligeti Wrote: True you save time, but my point was: how often do you change your MAC address? (I am really asking this) Me personally never, but for some people who take their privacy a little more seriously than I do could change it at least once in a session. (I am really asking this) In that case yes, I would - of course - make an alias as you suggested
RE: Macchanger script - hunt3r972 - 02-27-2014 I do exactly like you and the Internet connection get shutted down each time (a friend hasn't this issue and use the same commands: down > change > up) RE: Macchanger script - chmod - 02-27-2014 (02-27-2014, 11:21 AM)hunt3r972 Wrote: I do exactly like you and the Internet connection get shutted down each time (a friend hasn't this issue and use the same commands: down > change > up) The device is still going down and then up however it's happening in rapid succession, as I said I timed it on my system at 0.026 seconds so I would imagine his device doesn't have time to register the loss of connection. RE: Macchanger script - hunt3r972 - 02-27-2014 I tried on two different computer and I still have the same problem: when I change the mac address the internet connection is shutted down, even if I do /etc/init.d/networking stop then /etc/init.d/networking start RE: Macchanger script - Ligeti - 02-27-2014 (02-27-2014, 01:42 PM)hunt3r972 Wrote: I tried on two different computer and I still have the same problem: when I change the mac address the internet connection is shutted down... You mean... you can't connect after changing the mac address of the interface? RE: Macchanger script - hunt3r972 - 02-28-2014 @chmod @Ligeti no the interface is correctly back to up, I'm connected to the network but I can't go on internet RE: Macchanger script - Ligeti - 02-28-2014 Can you ping the router? Are you using mac filtering? Is it wireless interface? What is your ifconfig? And route -n? Also... Try to reconnect using the network-manager. |
