Well actually, I'm quite sure in this case; Galaxy S will be launched (aka shown off) on 24/02/2014, but it will be released and shipped between April to June. Same has been for last generations. That's the way their business pattern is structured. An interval about a year is great for them, because of the phone subscriptions (cause how many people buy a $700 phone without subscription). If the interval is too small they won't sell enough. If the interval is too big they won't make as much as they possibly can. Their business plan will not change soon, because it works really well. However I'm sure it will change if they come up with a better business plan.
