It's not worth too have Kali as main distro if you do not pentest 24/7, It's not worth making your data crunching and use resources just to test Kali in a few hours, The best choose if you will tryout Kali is too have it on a WM (Wirtual Machine) such as VirtualBox/WmWare Player. ~ Regards ART33R RE: Windows 8? - Aut•ono•mous - 01-02-2014 (01-02-2014, 07:37 PM)ART33R Wrote:(01-02-2014, 03:53 PM)shirofuji Wrote: Try kali linux its coolKali Linux as main distro is just a pain and dangerous. I've used Kali, but like you said ..its not good to use as a primary distro, that's what I use Ubuntu for. RE: Windows 8? - wahid08 - 01-03-2014 Just install windows 7 it will keep you from a lot of annoyance from windows 8 trust me you will rage! RE: Windows 8? - chmod - 01-03-2014 I personally found windows 8 to be horrible, the whole UI is set up for tablets and not desktops. You may like it though and shouldn't write something off before trying it yourself. I kinda agree with @Geoff though if you are using Linux windows is redundant lol. RE: Windows 8? - Mst0P - 01-03-2014 I use Windows 8.1 and I must say I'm pleased. It's fast and I haven't had any of the problems I've been hearing about. No bugs or anything, everything runs smoothly. The only thing I dislike is the interface - it is more suitable for phones and tablets than PCs(I think this is what they were going for?). On a side note I like Linux much better than Windows
RE: Windows 8? - Aut•ono•mous - 01-04-2014 As an update, I picked up my laptop moments ago ..I'm not really liking Windows 8 but I'm giving it a chance. Share any tips you guys may know please!
RE: Windows 8? - ART33R - 01-04-2014 Prefer Linux and Windows 7 instead of Windows 8, we must mind that people think differently and do things differently than other people, which we just must accept, In my opinion is not Windows 8 so damn bad as people say, more features and better designs, but no the favorite is still linux and windows mile:, No other OS can beat Linux and Windows (still) maybe in the future.. no one knows hehe.
