Brainfuck will never make any sense to you if you don't go read some paper. It's an esoteric programming language, far different from other languages you might already know.
It was not designed to be suitable or useful to perform particular tasks, but just as a challenge, for fun.
I never got anything of what I read in Brainfuck, until I read Slarek's paper about it. Then it was very simple indeed, it's got 8 commands only, so, you won't need long at all to learn everything you've got to know about it.
About one thing Slarek said I don't agree. Maybe it was a typo, or he was referring to J, but he said you can accomplish anything with just a small amount of code. For Brainfuck it is not the case at all.

What i meant was that you can't accomplish anything with a small amount of code.
