That's quite good. I will add it to the language introductions.
One thing seems inaccurate to me:

Yeah, yeah. You're right. You know, I wrote this as I learned this, and so the very first part was written as I just got the hang of AWK. I'll just change that.
Edit: found also another statement about the BEGIN/END patterns that made no sense at all. Removed too.
