RE: Wanna Be Anonymous? - TheDarkNight - 05-11-2013 You should include that a user should encrypt his hard drive with truecrypt so that if he does get tracked down a law enforcement officer cannot decrypt his hardrive. That's is why I mentioned that always do the dirty work from the RDP and not your personal computer. RE: Wanna Be Anonymous? - TheDarkNight - 05-11-2013 Still a lot of people that hack for personal gain like documents are going to store most of that information on there pc and if they get caught unexpectedly e.g the agency makes a honey pot / infects a file to get the hackers details then there fucked but if there hard dive is encrypted the user can just say they forgot there encryption key stupid I know but I've read a post that hacker said he forgot his decryption keys and got off the charge. Managing your system is totally up to the user, I've just described that don't use your primary OS for the bad stuff. Although I agree with your point as encrypting your HDD might add a little more security. Ah-ha! How about on the contrary you make a tutorial for installing and using Truecrypt on Windows, Linux, and Apple based operating systems? ![]() This being based on my fellow colleague Ex094 not making that tutorial. Nor will he I doubt as noted by his lack of immediate acceptance to do so. It's sad. Are you agreeing with @Linuxephus™ suggestion of making the tutorial? I think it'll be good. RE: Wanna Be Anonymous? - TheDarkNight - 05-11-2013 Yeah I'll make a tutorial. I'll start writing it tonight but I don't have a mac or linux though RE: Wanna Be Anonymous? - Linuxephus™ - 05-11-2013 (05-11-2013, 06:28 AM)TheDarkNight Wrote: Yeah I'll make a tutorial. RE: Wanna Be Anonymous? - Ex094 - 05-11-2013 @Linuxephus™ Glad you understood ![]() @MrGeek Glad my tutorial helped you mate! |
