I think the outer glow is on its place. The outer glow removes the contrast between black and yellow. Therefor it seems kinda 'goofy' and you will not be able to get such a silhouette from the text to the BG.
What do you mean 'Change the flash' ?

I'm not sure what theme you had in mind while creating this, but the font should look toon-shaded to match the nyan cat imo.

Hmm well the thing is, nyan cat shouldn't match the logo since it has nothing really related to it.
The thing about LOLSWF is that you will get random 'lols' in a single click which is a new .swf
Since nyan cat is so popular and a good eyecatcher I have chosen to take that in my banner. Also it represents some 'lols' and typically 'internet' like.
