Scan the whole network for a router. Or check where your traffic is going with wireshark.
Try:
nmap -T5 -A 192.168.0.1/24
or
nmap -T5 -A 192.168.0.1/24

I've tried all the ipod addresses in ipconfig they either dont load or bring me to an avg search page. All the info I've seen using Google says you need a wired connection so Im not sure if that's the issue.

first of all be sure about the ROUTER's IP (gateway).you can use ipconfig/all or nmap or ather network tool to confirm. then try to access the router . sometimes antivirus may cause the problem.check it carefully. I hope you can find the way.
