I simply use Photoshop CS5/CS6 because it is quite exquisite.
Photoshop is a great tool if you know what you are doing with it. Photoshop has lots of neat tools however Photoshop skills are a necessity if you want to be employable in the graphic design field. Priced in the hundreds and with a learning curve to match, it's not for everyone.
Photoshop CS6 includes a fresh new look, useful new features, and many user-inspired enhancements compared to CS5.
Pros
Great for photo editing
User Friendly
Offers more and more with each update.
Cons
Expensive

Mainly I use Photoshop CS6 but I also have CS4 and sometimes I'll use Cinema 4D and bring it over to PS for effects.

Paint.NET because I'm a professional graphics designer. Unfortunately I'm not a master graphics designer that users MS Paint.
