Haha nah, I do not buy anything illegal online, I like to keep my online footprint somewhat clean. All my 'substances' are bought in real life lol, they confiscated the computer due to drug-related things but it was not directly involved with buying anything online.

It definitely needs a gpu upgrade.

RE: Gaming Setup - Cake - 07-01-2014

Your entire build needs an upgrade. amd processors don't support multi threading so you get shit fps in games like arma and rust compared to what you could get.

16gb is not needed for gaming..

Actually no, my processor is a turbo six core AMD processor @ 3.5Ghz, that's a plenty adequate processor. My amount of memory, 8GB is also perfect for gaming, any less might affect some sort of performance (even though at 4GB, you'll be able to play games just fine) and any more just isn't necessary. My motherboard MIGHT be a little out of date, however it has the functionality that I need so it's fine. The only thing that needs an upgrade is the graphics card, as my power supply and case and everything else is up to date.

Please do your research before coming to such a conclusion. Thanks Smile

No it's not idiot, I had an 8320 (8 core without multi threading OC'ed to 4.4ghz) and it performed like shit on games that don't support multi core very well.
If you want good performance in games intel is the way to go because of multi threading because AMD won't pull their heads out of their asses and put in multi threading.

In arma 3 on MINIMUM I was getting around 30fps with my 8 core. I bought a 4770k now I get 100fps on ultra. CPU makes that big of a difference in certain games. On rust on ultra I was getting 60-80fps with my 8 core. With my 4770k I get nearly 200.

My buddy runs a Phenom II 980 Black Edition with a GTX 650ti, and gets similar frame rates to you..
