Not necessarily, that's based more on flexibility rather than the removal or breaking of ribs.

That sucks man. I managed to avoid this situation a few months ago. Driving home from work, I have the green and a drunk driver going 40 over narrowly passes behind me and swerved off the road. Hope you feel better (I'm in the middle of a Nyquil dose myself :p)!
