RE: NSA spying is okay? - daimashin - 01-03-2014 Any form of spying in my opinion is not right. I feel as though I'm naked when I know something is monitoring me all the time. I feel I have zero privacy. RE: NSA spying is okay? - Wonder - 01-08-2014 If the spying is proving to be beneficial then i have no problem with it. RE: NSA spying is okay? - Linkzelda - 01-10-2014 This reminds me of a video of how someone explains how the NSA hacked people’s emails here: It was done by simple mathematical rudiments, or to be more specific, the Elliptic Curve Cryptography. Now, whether or not the act is truly unconstitutional is really a matter of disposition and weighing the circumstances. This reminds me of television series like Nikita where there’s always someone somewhere that has high-level access to nearly every region in the world. Usually it’s justified because it’s for the sake of national and worldwide security, but most of the time that’s catered towards nationalism and not facing with the reality of situations such as this. Some may subscribe to the argument that as long as the individual isn’t up to anything suspicious that would throw up several red flags, that it shouldn’t be a big issue. Others would subscribe to the position that under no circumstances can this be allowed because of things like unalienable rights, natural rights, and things of that nature. To me, whatever opinion we attach ourselves to, they’ll be doing things like this either way. Not to sound like a defeatist, because I feel that in some cases that this level of breach into other people’s privacy is clearly up for serious debate. And honestly, compared to things in other regions of the world where censorship and governmental control are at their highest, things like this would be a standard over areas like China (who coincidentally lifted a decade long ban on video games recently). Should this ever be deemed as unconstitutional, it may end up being a slap on the wrist instead of a crueler punishment. I don't like people watching me and invading my privacy. I am a very private person and have been through a lot. My private life is non of their business. I don't go hack into their medical records and listen to them talking on the phone, and then turn on their web cam and watch them change before going to bed. My government teacher warned us about them and called the NSA pervs. What they are doing in unconstitutional. (01-03-2014, 03:50 PM)daimashin Wrote: Any form of spying in my opinion is not right. They should not be allowed to have this power over us and make so vulnerable. They could find out anything about us and then use it for whatever dirty purpose the have in mind. They are people just like anyone else, and they should not be held higher than us. If we don't have the rights to spy on them, then they should not have the right to spy on us. The government abusing their powers. What else is new! :p I do not feel safe here anymore. With all of the government corruption and police brutality, I cannot handle it. I know it is worse in some places in our country than others, but I feel like it is only going to spread and get worse. RE: NSA spying is okay? - warmweatherwoman - 02-19-2014 It doesn't matter if I'm not doing anything wrong...I'm entitled to my privacy. If spying is so okay...why don't they allow us to reverse it and spy on them spying on us? The reason the NSA even exists is because this country (USA) had us all scared to death at all the heightened terror alerts and for "our safety" the patriot act was born. Not even going to go in the conspiracy theories of anything but I will say 9/11 is and still remains suspect! Keep the people in fear- they obey when they are in fear! Just like for "our safety" they will take our right away to bare arms- mark my words that is next..and we ill allow it...because it will be "for our safety and in our best interest" - that is debatable depending on who you asking! Even if you're not doing anything wrong, it's not okay. We should not fear the government, the government should fear it's people. Government is ruled by the people, is it not? If people are so worried about it, there's obviously something you can do. EDIT: Nevermind, US is republic scum. |
